Overview
Edinburgh Rugby Women head into their fourth Celtic Challenge campaign in 2026/27 with a refreshed squad and a new chapter ahead. After a tough 2025/26 season, the team has strengthened its ranks with seven new signings, including the return of a familiar face, and a new contracted group confirmed for the season ahead. Home matches are played at Hive Stadium, Edinburgh.

Head Coach: Louise Dalgliesh
Edinburgh Rugby has named Louise Dalgliesh as Head Coach of its women’s team, ahead of the 2026/27 Celtic Challenge season. Dalgliesh joins Edinburgh Rugby from The University of Edinburgh, where she served as Head of Performance for Women’s Rugby, and succeeds Claire Cruickshank, who has moved into a new role as Scottish Rugby’s first Women’s National Academy Manager.
