Anna Doyle’s quartet of tries and Aoife Dalton’s hat-trick propelled the Wolfhounds to a 57-5 bonus point win over Brython Thunder, as the reigning champions move five points clear at the summit.
The Wolfhounds followed up their 48-0 victory in Llanelli with another dominant win. Aoife Dalton opened the scoring early, and player-of-the-match Doyle, returning from a shoulder injury, scored four tries. Dalton completed a hat-trick, and Kelly Burke and Leah Tarpey also scored.
Despite strong performances from Brython Thunder’s Hanna Marshall, Natalia John, and Jess Rogers, they trailed 26-0 at halftime. Gabby Healan scored a late consolation try for Thunder.
The Wolfhounds’ attack was relentless, with standout plays from Claire Boles, Dannah O’Brien, Aoife Wafer, and Erin King. O’Brien’s conversions and assists were crucial, and the team’s ball-carrying strength was evident throughout the match.
